The Robert Plante Design Centre is a dedicated in-store space where you can meet with our design team and plant experts to plan your outdoor project. Whether you’re looking for guidance on a small garden or planning a full property transformation, our team can support you through every stage—from initial ideas and design direction to plant and material selection, all the way through to installation.

We can assist with installation projects of all sizes, including: ● Garden beds and planting plans ● Front entrance and curb appeal improvements ● Patios, walkways, and interlock ● Outdoor living spaces ● Full property designs and transformations, including pools and large-scale landscaping

In addition to design consultations, our team offers a full range of services including tree planting, sod installation, interlock and hardscaping, and seasonal landscape maintenance. Whether you’re looking for guidance, installation, or ongoing care, we can support your project at every stage.

During your consultation, we will meet with you to discuss your space, goals, and overall vision. Together, we will: ● Review and sketch your space with layout ideas ● Walk through the greenhouse to explore plant and product options ● Provide tailored recommendations based on your style, needs, and budget You’ll leave with a copy of your sketch and a curated plant list. If you’d like to move forward, we can also provide a quote for installation.

Consultations take place in our dedicated design office, located within the perennial section of the greenhouse.

Our standard design consultations take place in-store at the Design Centre. For larger projects, site visits may be included as part of a more in-depth design service.

After booking, you will receive a pre-consultation questionnaire. We strongly encourage completing this in advance and including: ● Photos of your space ● Inspiration images ● Any measurements or relevant details This allows us to make the most of your 60-minute consultation. Without this information, more time will be spent during the appointment gathering details rather than focusing on design.

Not always. For smaller projects, a consultation is usually the best first step. During the appointment, we can review your space, provide recommendations, and guide you on next steps, including installation pricing. If you are looking for something very simple or for garden maintenance, a consultation is typically not needed — you can simply fill out our contact form and our team will follow up with you. For larger projects, we recommend submitting a project inquiry form first. Our team will review the details of your project and let you know whether a consultation or a more in-depth design process is the best place to start.

Yes. Our team offers professional installation services for a wide range of landscaping projects—from planting trees, shrubs, and garden beds to full outdoor transformations. We also design and install interlock patios, walkways, and other hardscape features, and provide sod installation including lawn removal, grading, and preparation. Project timelines vary depending on the scope of work and time of year, with most landscaping work taking place between spring and fall. Our team can review your project and provide guidance on the best timing and options.

During your consultation, our team will walk through the greenhouse with you and recommend plants and materials that suit your space, style, and conditions. After the consultation, you are welcome to purchase any recommended plants or materials directly from the greenhouse. There is no obligation to proceed with installation—our consultation is simply designed to provide guidance and help you plan your project, and you can decide how you would like to move forward.

Booking in advance is strongly recommended so we can ensure dedicated time with a designer and make the most of your visit. While we never want to turn anyone away, walk-ins may be accommodated based on availability and are not guaranteed.

Yes. Our team offers seasonal maintenance services to help keep your landscape looking its best throughout the year. Services may include spring and fall clean-ups, garden bed maintenance, plant care and pruning, and general landscape upkeep. We can maintain both landscapes we have installed and existing ones, and we recommend booking in advance as availability can fill up quickly during peak seasons.
